Welcome, to my brief sample portfolio!

The articles found on this website were originally drafted during my time as an undergraduate at the University of South Florida. I hope that you find them captivating, and that they compel you to learn more about the respective topics.

The Kent State Massacre and America's Response

This paper briefly covers the Kent State massacre, on May 4 1970, and attempts to add context to the tragedy by looking at the events leading up to the shooting. Most of the paper, however, covers America's response to the shooting. Specifically, the mainstream media's response versus the response of "underground" newspapers, and the nation's use of music to memorialize the shooting.

The True Evil of Adolf Eichmann

This paper uses Hannah Arendt's writings, compiled while she covered the Adolf Eichmann trial in 1961, to consider the true evil behind the Nazi regime. Adolf Eichmann was a high ranking Nazi official who was famously captured from a Buenos Aires, Argentina bus stop by Israeli commandos, and put on trial in Jerusalem for his role in the holocaust.
